I love this place. The food is always great portions and taste great. My fish was PACKED with fish. It was so flaky and moist it was falling out from my fork. The house chips were great and the mozzarella sticks were HUGE!!! The Bavarian pretzel was super soft with lots of salt too. I've tried multiple things here and always am impressed 😊
We have been trying to get here for several years but the wait is always been long but last night it was only about 15 minutes. I give the waiter three choices of what I wanted to eat and that was French dip, and a burger and fish and chips. He recommended the fish and chips. They were probably the best fish and chips I've had in a long long time. My wife got the Reuben and the pastrami on the sandwich was probably the best we've ever had. French onion soup was also very good.
I had the Avocado Burger with the pickled red beets on the side instead of the fries. It's one of the best burgers I ever ate. They offer lots of craft beers. But only a few are on tap. The rest are cans and bottles. That is fine with me. Still delicious! The atmosphere is warm and comfy. If you're in the Dover area, make sure you stop and have a burger!
Yes, it's good. I've been to several fancy burger places across the country and I'd put 55 up against any of them.
Sweet potato fries were crisp rather than limp as you find at some other places.
The pork and beef patty was delicious. I'll note that it was a bit more sausage-forward than others I've had, but again, it was delicious. Would have again.
Best burger place in Delaware. True. Food was great, service was fast, friendly, and professional.
Just one thing. Crowded!!! We went around 6:00pm on Friday. I know, one of the most crowded timing. Waiting time was 30 minutes.
And it might be hard to find sparking spot when it’s crowded.
I’m visiting from Florida and my family brought us here. There were 6 of us ranging from 9 to 43. We had a blast! We ordered the pretzel appetizer, onion rings and sweet potato fries-ALL AMAZING! We all also ordered and shared a variety of burgers. The Lunch Counter Special, the Willie Nelson and one that absolutely blew us away! The Fig It Out Burger! Fig sauce, goat cheese, arugula and candied bacon!! It was cooked perfectly and delicious!!!
Our server Kelsey was prompt and paid attention to details and even anticipated and fulfilled our needs before we asked! She made our experience even better!! If I didn’t live 900 miles away I’d be back every week!
I highly recommend!
Solid burger and beer list. Lot's of great craft beers on tap. The pretzel appetizer was right on and the burgers were delicious. Good amount of toppings that you can pick from.
Service was a little slow and the burgers took a while to prepare but overall the experience was nice and atmosphere was fun and lively.
I would definitely pop in again when I'm passing through Dover.
Stopped in for dinner and the burgers were out of this world, fresh made, cooked perfect. Sage burger was one of the best I have had. The fish and chips were perfectly fried. Will be back anytime we are near here. Couldn't ask for a nicer and better waiter.
